A Journey to Philippines

Welcome to Philippine
Magandang Umaga (Good Morning) readers, I will share a lot of things to all of you my dearest reader regarding to my journey for participating SEA-Teacher 2018. So readers do not forget to hit follow button up there and do not hesitate to fill the comment bellow if you have something to ask. Let’s get started!

August 10th 2018 was another biggest moment on this year, guess what? Yes, my friends (Nita and Rangga) and I finally touched down safely in Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in Manila from I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali Indonesia. We arrived in Manila at 3.30 pm; it took 3 hours and 30 minutes flight from Bali. Once we passed the immigration after few steps to the exit gate, two students from Central Luzon State University (CLSU) were stood up and put their hands on the air while grabbing a paper which it’s written our name and university. Thus, approached and greeted them immediately. They were Mark and Fatima; they accompanied us to our hostel and told us everything about Philippines and their college (CLSU). It took around 5 hours from the NAIA to Munoz or The Science City of Munoz, the place where we have stayed. We had our breakfast together at Jollibee for the first time, JolliBee is the most popular fast food restaurant in Philippines, and yes we loved our first meal here, even though the sauce little bit sour. On our way to hostel they welcomed us warmly. And also, they explained us about the agendas that should be done after we arrived at our hostel.
Some of you may think, “What did you do on Philippines?” well I was joining a program called Southeast Asia Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO), this is a regional intergovernmental organization established in 1965 among governments of Southeast of Asia countries to promote regional cooperation in education, science and culture in the region (seameo.org accessed on August, 25 2018). One of SEAMEO program that I joined was SEA-Teacher project or Pre-Service Student Teacher Exchange in Southeast of Asia aims to provide opportunity for pre-service student teachers from universities in Southeast of Asia to have teaching practicum in schools in other countries in Southeast Asia (seateacher.seameo.org accessed on August, 25 2018). The program is helping pre-service student teachers to have experiences in teaching among student teachers in Southeast Asia in order to prepare professional teacher in the future. This already was the 6th batch of SEA-Teacher program and I have been sent to University Science High School in Central Luzon State University for 1 month.
For your information Central Luzon State University or known as CLSU was being became my receiver university, are you excited to know more about CLSU? Do not go anywhere, I will tell you everything on the next update.

There was no time, we checked in at 09.00 am and one hour later we were picked up by the dean of Education Department Faculty Dr. Gaboy and Ma’am Hiyasmin as college secretary and they took us traveling around Munoz city and SM Cabanatuan city and helped us to get some stuffs such as internet card, and another student’s stuff for my teaching preparation. That was amazing; we could observe the environment and people around us.

When we arrived in the dormitory, we prepared ourselves to take a rest due we had tight schedule before, and on the evening the others SEA-Teacher participants from Indonesia who already arrived at CLSU earlier took and introduced us to campus market which will be the places where we could buy food and students’ stuffs. And after that we have our dinner with the other participants. And sure we met the other exchange students from another country in ASIA; it makes me learn more about diversity especially their culture, languages, and many more.
