Procedures of Teaching English

It has been three weeks, and this time I was given a chance to start my own teaching experiences. A lot of things that I have learned before, started observed the classroom activities, observed the syllabus, do interaction to the students to build connection with them and practiced to make good lesson plan based on the syllabus and regulation used by the  USHS.
Before conducting my teaching experience, there were several procedures that I have conducted. First one I have been chosen to observe my own class grade 11, much information that I got during the observation, started with the class situation how it was, students’ psychology, and the interaction. On second week, I was given the materials for my teaching practicum, my teacher gave me the handout and some books related with the materials, she gave me a handout and 4 books. Next I was explained how to make good and suitable lesson plan based on the syllabus given and school regulation. Because the needs were different with in Indonesia and I have to adapt the lesson plan the same with USHS. Then I practiced over and over again long with the consultation with my teacher. She gave everything that I need to improve myself. After the revision conducted and accepted, I was ready to teach.
For the first meeting, I taught a subject about the functions of communication. Communication has 5 functions but for first meeting I was instructed to teach first 2 functions, the other functions will be discussed next meeting. Here is the lesson plan that I have designed,
