One exciting thing that I waited for long time when I arrived in Philippines is facing the students there. I was given only less than one month to conduct my teaching practicum, they are: Observation, Teaching collaboration, and Individual Teaching) those things should be prepare properly in order to face success teaching practicum. A lot of consultation have been conducting between SEA-teacher participation with the cooperate teacher and the supervisor regarding to the activities and schedule.
USHS teachers have to
design their own planning for teaching, the planning must be explained the
whole material that will be taught for one semester. The syllabus will guide
the teacher during the planning process; the syllabus already contained the
points of material that should be given by the teacher. My critical teacher has
conducted this step before she began her classes, and the planning teaching
also already modified based on the students need. It was started by designing
the lesson plan, deciding the indicators/learning objectives or things that
should be achieved by the students on the meeting in only just one hour,
preparing the media used, the complete material that will be given by the
teacher and the last one is preparing the assignments complete with its scoring
rubric whenever it is needed. Here is the syllabus that was used by my critical
teacher Miss Kren J. Bracelita to plan the teaching activities.
The Instruction was clearly being told by all of the teachers and supervisor, they wanted me to have best teaching practicum experience and get many knowledge and information there and hopefully I will be able to implement it in my country especially in my class in Bali.
