21th century of learning was upgrading the assessing system in USHS and traditional assessment almost rarely used anymore as the only one assessment conducted in the classroom. But there are one assessment also used to assess the students’ ability it is called authentic assessment. Authentic assessment has aim to evaluate students’ ability to apply what they got or learned in the classroom instead of answering short essay, multiple choice, true/false, matching questions only but it was more authentic and meaningful. USHS has conducted some assessments in the classroom. The assessments were divided into several types. They are small and big assessment, small assessment includes quiz, presentation or written analysis, while big assessment includes summative, final project, complex role play, research activity and final project assessment. My teacher was applying some small assessments and a big assessment. At the end of every meeting the student will be given a written quiz related with the material, also sometimes students were asked to do on the spot presentation and it will be graded. Next small assessment conducted was small project like making chart information, re-telling and etc. Those small assessments conducted based on the scoring rubric provided by the teacher. Every assessment conducted by the teacher must be provided with the scoring rubric. While the big assessment teacher conducted summative. I have handled summative test and the questions contained of 50 questions. It was conducted every 2 months. In measuring and evaluating students, the teacher adopts three criteria for grading based on DepEd Order #8, s. 2015.

Those criteria are:
1. written works (30%) which include seatworks, quizzes, and chapter tests,
2. performance tasks (50%) which include recitation and projects, and
3. quarterly assessment (20%).
