Officially Part of Central Luzon State University

Officially CLSU student

It was Monday, As I promised you before, I’m going to tell you everything about the general information and my experiences during my observation on Central Luzon State University as my receiver university.
Central Luzon State University is located at Muñoz, Neuva Ecija, Philippines. This university was established on April, 12 1907 at first it is started as a farm school, the Central Luzon Agricultural School (CLAS), which the students learned the rudiments of better farming methods, agricultural mechanics and homemaking arts. These activities soon evolved into a model vocational-agricultural teaching and learning program which became its legacy to the country in so far as the CLAS experience was concerned. As a result, CLAS became a byword for productive farming methods.

CLAC became the Central Luzon State University on June 18, 1964 by virtue of Republic Act No. 4067. As embodied in its enabling act, the “University shall primarily give professional and technical training in agriculture and mechanic arts besides providing advanced instruction and promoting research in literature, philosophy, the sciences, technology and art”. To date, CLSU remains as one of the premier institutions of agriculture in Southeast Asia known for its breakthrough researches in aquatic culture (pioneer in the sex reversal of tilapia), ruminant, crops, orchard, and water management, living through its vision of becoming “a world-class National Research University for science and technology in agriculture and allied fields”. I also was attending flag ceremony with the other lecturers and university staffs, and I was introduced by ma’am Hiyasmine as a student teacher exchange from Indonesia to conduct teaching practice at University Science High School. The flag ceremony was quite different with in Indonesia, it was consumed short time and there were lot of announcements and reports were reported. And at the end of the ceremony we were given a chance to take pictures with the presidents, vices, and some deans.
After conducted ceremony, we were invited to come in Administration building where the president works, And Then the president of the university officially welcomed us to have practice teaching on the school university. He was so funny and able to speak Bahasa Indonesia little bit.

At 12.30 p m Philippines time, we went to U-mart to have our lunch, we tried Tilapia ice cream at first. Tilapia ice cream is an extraordinary product of ice cream that was invented by one of the lecturer there to provide health snack by using good and health ingredients. The taste of the ice cream was delicious that was combination between cow milk and tilapia fish, but the fish was blended perfectly. Then we tasted other foods like pork, and sweet sour chicken wings, some traditional veggies and also dessert called halo-halo means mix-mix from many sweet ingredients.
